Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and self-motivated Midwife to lead a team of Midwives who care for women in a community setting. The team is based within our Queen Charlottes & Chelsea Hospital catchment area. We need a motivated and dynamic midwife to lead our community teams of midwives and maternity support workers to ensure continuity of care and carer to our diverse population. Midwives on this team are involved in running antenatal/postnatal clinics from local children's centres as well as conducting home visits. They also provide parent education classes and breastfeeding support sessions. You will be an enthusiastic, confident clinical practitioner with experience in various midwifery settings, ideally within the community but this is not essential. Your ability to influence others will be integral to this role. The post involves 50% clinical hours and 50% management hours. This includes covering on-calls for homebirths (3-4 times per month), providing cover for maternity escalation and working in partnership with our safeguarding team. We are looking for Midwives who are ideally car drivers, due to the size of the catchment areas.
