The Growth Company’s (GC) Business Growth Hub (BGH) seeks a Stakeholder Account Manager to coordinate delivery activity and manage relationships with Local Authorities. This role requires deep knowledge of local business priorities to ensure impactful economic delivery. Partnering with BGH Specialist Services and Local Authorities, the manager ensures inclusive, place-based business support aligned with local ambitions.
GC BGH is a community of specialists helping businesses in Greater Manchester achieve their ambitions. Since 2011, the Hub has supported over 15,000 businesses, providing finance guidance, international links, and fostering innovation and people development. We partner with public and private sectors to offer expert business support, events, specialist programs, and funding.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build trust and understand the ambitions and challenges of the Local Authority.
* Serve as the lead contact for operational and business support activities.
* Partner with colleagues to deliver impactful Business Growth Hub activities.
* Ensure integrated support by coordinating with GC divisions and Local Authorities.
* Manage advisor meetings to review and prioritise activities and monitor engagement.
* Update Local Authorities on BGH activities and performance data.
* Produce regular reports on Local Authority activities.
* Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders for holistic support.
* Attend events, run clinics, and stay informed on economic and sector developments.

* Strong account management and interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate credibility with others including understanding of issues customers face in growing their business.
* Leadership skills and ability to credibly influence at a senior level.
* Understand and analyse data.
* Be focused and achieve results through the development of strategic consultative relationships at a senior level.
* To conduct sensitive and complex negotiations to have influence and ensure the best service is delivered.
* Ability to deliver quality outcomes in a fast paced, target driven operational environment.
Skills Required:
* Experienced in strategic relationship management and proven business development ability.
* Undertaking 360 business diagnostic reviews and knowledge of appropriate business analytical tools.
* Experience in managing multiple stakeholders from both private and public sector.
* Good knowledge of one or more of Greater Manchester’s frontier and foundational sectors.
* A sound understanding of current social, economic, and political priorities.
* Credible, personable, and approachable style to build enduring relationships and rapport with clients.
