A forward-thinking law firm based in Cardiff is looking to appoint a Partner to lead its Energy practice. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to shape the firm’s offering, leveraging their expertise to build and strengthen client relationships.
The role will suit a senior legal professional with a strong market presence, a well-established network, and a proven track record of generating business in the energy sector.
What You’ll Do
1. Lead and grow the Energy practice, defining the firm’s strategic direction in the sector.
2. Lead a multidisciplinary team advising clients on a broad range of energy-related matters, including corporate transactions, commercial contracts, real estate, disputes, and regulatory issues.
3. Leverage your industry network to drive client development and business growth.
4. Collaborate with colleagues across different practice areas to provide integrated solutions to clients.
5. Represent the firm externally, building its reputation through thought leadership, industry events, and networking.
6. Mentor and develop junior lawyers, fostering a high-performing and commercially driven team.
What We’re Looking For
1. A seasoned energy lawyer with at least 10 years’ PQE.
2. Client following and business development skills – a portable book of business is essential.
3. Leadership experience at a respected UK law firm.
4. A team player who can drive collaboration and innovation within the firm.
