Job Title: Editorial Content and Marketing Officer
Hours of Work: Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Occasional evening and weekend working required.

The Headmaster and CEO of Eltham College Family of Schools is seeking to appoint an inspirational and highly professional Editorial Content and Marketing Officer. The Marketing and Communications team exists to support the vision, aims, and strategic objectives of Eltham College and ensure that ours are the schools of first choice in southeast London/north Kent. Our core objective is to build the schools' reputation and profile, raising awareness and interest to drive pupil recruitment and income, communicating clear, authentic, and motivating brand identity and benefits to our defined target audience.

Postholder role: The postholder loves working with words and champions brand storytelling and messaging across the Family of Schools. Creating editorial copy that articulates, celebrates, and promotes the schools’ exceptional, diverse offering, they will develop campaigns aimed at engaging key audiences, both internal and external. Working closely with the Design and Visual Content Officer, they will plan, co-ordinate, develop, produce, and deliver highly engaging website, marketing, PR, and events content for digital and print to support student recruitment, audience engagement, and brand messaging.
Eltham College is a highly successful independent day school in south-east London, educating boys and girls aged 7 to 18 across both Junior and Senior Schools. The College has grown considerably over recent years: there are now over 800 students in the Senior School and around 260 pupils in the Junior School, and places are heavily oversubscribed. Since 2020, girls have been able to join Years 3 and 7, mirroring the Sixth Form which has been coeducational for over 45 years. The school places an equal emphasis on academic, pastoral, and co-curricular excellence and has an outstanding reputation in all three areas as well as for the friendly, unpretentious nature of daily life.
