An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Sunderland Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), a team of professionals who offer support and advice to aid mental health and positive well-being.
The service works with children and young people aged 0-18 who may be showing signs of emotional distress and/or behavioural difficulties. We aim to deal with such difficulties at the earliest possible stage of intervention in the hope that children and young people will develop skills and resilience to promote positive well-being.
The post-holder will be responsible for the management of administration support, ensuring its effective performance, including coordination of administrative work, supervising staff, maintaining cover, carrying out staff performance reviews, and ensuring training and development for the staff you are responsible for.
There will also be a requirement to cover other Mental Health Teams across South Tyneside and Gateshead where there is leave/absence.
37.5 hours per week.
Main bases: Valley Road Community School, Wessington Primary School, and Southwick Primary School.

Main duties of the job
Candidates require a minimum of 3 years experience working at a senior Administrative/Supervision level in a complex organisation.
Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration or equivalent and significant secretarial and office work experience with acquired knowledge of secretarial procedures. Experience of database management and input, complex diary management, planning and organising complex meetings, and attending and recording minutes of meetings accurately.
Ability to demonstrate the effective management of the administration staff to ensure team objectives are met, providing leadership to the team to create an effective working environment, including the ability to support new starters in developing their competencies in the Team.

Job responsibilities
The post-holder will be responsible for the administration support required for the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within Sunderland. There will also be a requirement to cover other Mental Health Teams across South Tyneside and Gateshead where there is leave/absence.
This will include carrying out and coordinating all administration/clerical work, managing other admin staff, maintaining cover, carrying out staff performance reviews, ensuring training and development for the staff they are responsible for, and ensuring that data records on the clinical systems (IAPTus) are done to a high standard.
