Description Alternative Provision Assistant Band 5 SEN Allowance 37 hours a week, term time only £22,248 - £23,732 (Annual FTE salary £25,652 - £27,363) Mary Rose Academy is seeking to appoint two proactive, resilient, and creative Alternative Provision Assistant’s to join our growing specialist team, in this exciting role. Situated across three campuses in Portsmouth, we provide a highly specialist, personalised curriculum for young people with the most profound, severe and complex learning difficulties. In addition, the majority of pupils have co-occurring needs including: Autism Spectrum Condition, severe physical disabilities and highly complex medical conditions. At Mary Rose Academy the wellbeing of our pupils is paramount to them succeeding You must be able to recognise the importance of removing barriers, working with pupils individually, outside of the classroom, either in the community or the family home to assist in the delivery, provision or sourcing of supportive interventions in a calm, respectful and caring manner. You will be emotionally resilient, flexible, innovative, forward thinking and a team player with a good sense of humour. You will want to build excellent relationships with our pupils, while being compassionate to their needs, with a desire understand them, and their families, wholly. You will strive to build positive relationships with alternative provision providers to ensure best quality service for our pupils. It is desirable that you have access to your own vehicle and be willing to use this for business purposes.
