How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
Our Apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity for both face-to-face and virtual training to learn the skills and knowledge required for the role. You’ll pick up the ropes from a role model who you will shadow and work with for the duration of your apprenticeship.
As an Apprentice with us you’ll be fully supported to achieve a nationally recognised qualification by the end of apprenticeship with Air Liquide.You will attend college which is funded by the business and the remainder of the time you will be fully supported by an experienced member of the team, learning all about how we deliver outstanding service, making you an expert in your field. We’ll also assign you a buddy and assessor to guide you through your day-to-day tasks.
We are looking for a Retail Operations Apprentice to learn alongside the Branch Operations Manager to plan, direct and coordinate the operations of the depot in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner. This role is site based 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs), with 1 day for studying (Fri).
Whilst working towards your Team Leader Level 3 Standard, you will be:
* Keeping the customer at the heart of everything that you do
* Deliver exceptional customer experience, with a passion and enthusiasm for driving to improve customer satisfaction wherever possible.
* Help to coordinate activities of the depot concerned with production, sales, or distribution of products.
* Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
* Shadow staff management, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
* Drive employee engagement. Lead and develop staff and create a “One Team” atmosphere.
* Provide assistance to the sales manager and sales team to help them achieve the Company’s sales and profit targets.
* Monitor the safekeeping of cash on the premises, with regards to cash sales the cash book balances at all times.
* Operate within the guidelines as defined by the Company’s BS EN ISO 9001:2000 Quality Assurance System at all times.
