Job Description
United Living is looking for a Project Engineer to join its team in Shetland.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Assist in overseeing activities of construction within an assigned area of responsibility.
2. Assist with the planning and coordination of construction activities within the area of responsibility.
3. Monitor subcontractor personnel to ensure adherence to project plans and promote quality control of all installations.
4. Enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by Field Management.
5. Assist with compliance with the United Living Infrastructure Services safety program that creates a safe and healthy work environment on the construction site.
6. Work with document control systems, project management systems, and other software or databases to keep information flow up-to-date and accurate including but not limited to updating drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and other documents as required.
7. Interface with clients and designers to ensure compliance with design intent and client satisfaction.
8. Contribute to building good communications between field management, project management, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and specialty contractors to ensure construction complies with plans, specifications, and company quality standards.
9. Responsible for continuously expanding and updating professional knowledge and honing training skills in order to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity.
Qualifications
1. Must have Gas or Pipeline experience.
2. Proficient using Microsoft Office programs; including Excel, Word, Outlook.
3. Experience on similar works for/with Grid, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks, Scotia Gas Networks would be advantageous.
4. Willing to travel on a weekly basis.
