Hays are supporting an IT managed service provider in North Bristol to recruit an IT support engineer on a permanent basis. The role is paying £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience and offers hybrid working typically two days from home per week.
Your new role
Within the role, you will provide technical support to various clients and be the first point of contact across desktop support and Microsoft application & software support. You'll provide support via the phone, email, service desk and deskside. You'll troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues and escalate complex issues to 2nd / 3rd line support. The role offers lots of progression and development opportunity.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you'll need to have worked in a similar IT support / service desk role, ideally in a managed service provider, although this isn't essential. You'll need good knowledge of the M365 stack and exposure to hands-on hardware / desktop support. Basic networking would also be a bonus. You'll need to be an excellent communicator and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
