Main Duties of the Job
There are multiple demands in this exciting role due to the challenging nature of providing support for patients outside the hospital environment. The post holder will, however, find themselves well supported by a very friendly and enthusiastic team of staff.
1. To act as a specialist independent practitioner in the systematic autonomous provision of Speech and Language Therapy services for adults with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties in a multi-disciplinary team.
2. To be responsible for the speech and language assessments, differential diagnosis, treatment and discharge of individuals within these well-resourced networks.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications/Experience
* Registered SALT HCPC
* Appropriate SALT clinical skills
* Experience of working with other professionals
* Evidence of working in a person-centred and outcome-focused way
* Experience of case load management and post-qualifying experience
* Good verbal and written skills
* Experience of working in the community
* Experience of mentoring others
Other
* Experience and implementation of a range of specialist treatment options for individuals and groups
* Independently plan and prioritise own caseload
* Experience of working with alternative and augmentative communication
* Evidence of mentoring others
