JOB OVERVIEW; The Assistant Financial Controller (AFC) will assist with various aspects of the hotel’s accounting operations, enabling the Hotel Financial Controller to deliver timely financial information to both company directors and local management. This information will accurately represent the hotel’s income and expenses in line with company policy. The AFC will aid the Hotel Financial Controller in upholding effective control procedures and ensuring compliance with company policies regarding administration, accounting, and legal matters, while also managing all business assets appropriately. Additionally, the AFC may be called upon to act on behalf of the Hotel Financial Controller during their absence or under specific circumstances. RESPONSIBILITIES (But not limited to) - HR Administration - Hotel Revenue - Guest & Deposit Ledger Accounts - Supplier accounts and invoicing including purchase order accounts - Payroll including holiday, pension, sickness, P11D, and working time directive records and reports. - Daily banking, petty cash, revenue audits and reports - Vouchers / Deposit accounts - VAT / Tax Returns - All legal regulations and policies
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree/ AAT in Accounting or Finance - Proficiency in Accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero - Experience in Accounts Payable and Financial management - Strong attention to detail and analytical skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
