Organisational Development Consultant Permanent - Full Time (37 hours per week) £47,621 to £56,025 per annum Location: Chelmsford (Hybrid with Flexible Working) Are you passionate about driving transformative change and enhancing organisational effectiveness? We’re seeking an Organisational Development (OD) Consultant. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in aligning people, processes, and culture to support our strategic goals, fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce. As an OD Consultant, you'll collaborate across all levels of the organisation, focusing on both the 'hard' elements (structures, processes, policies, and metrics) and 'soft' elements (culture, values, behaviours, and relationships). Your mission will be to create meaningful connections that enhance individual, team, and organisational performance. By designing and implementing targeted interventions, you will drive lasting change that elevates the employee experience and strengthens our ability to deliver on our organisational strategy, people plan, and functional business goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive OD strategies and initiatives to improve organisational performance and effectiveness. Apply the full consultancy cycle to provide expert services that support professionalism, productivity, and strategic delivery. Navigate complex conversations with tact and confidence, presenting, influencing, and challenging at all levels to achieve desired outcomes. Collaborate closely with Organisational Design Consultants to ensure alignment of structure, systems, and culture, enhancing both the employee experience and organisational results. Partner with leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to identify challenges, provide expert solutions, and build organisational capability. What You’ll Bring A degree in Organisational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Membership (or working towards) Chartered CIPD status. Strong experience in managing complex cultural, behavioural, or system-related issues through the application of the consultancy model. Proven track record in planning, designing, delivering, and evaluating OD and change initiatives within a large, complex organisation.
