Conventional machinist/turner Due to further expansion - this growing business who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner/Machinist. You will be responsible for: - Conventional turning and milling using manual machinery. The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility. On call work – one in four General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal. To apply you will be: - An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC) General bench fitting experience would be ideal. Must be available to be on call one week a month Overtime available subject to workload Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
