External Audit Manager - Financial Services
Location: Bradford, Chatham or Petersfield
We are happy for you to be based in Bradford, Chatham or Petersfield but please note that occasional travel will be required to our other offices
Working Pattern: Our working style is hybrid, but we recognise the importance of collaborative working with our colleagues often 1 to 3 days per week in one of our offices

You and Your Team:
As a External Audit Manager - Financial Services, you will be reporting to the Senior Governance Manager for Moneybarn (Vehicle Finance). Working closely together you will be responsible to educate our management and Introducer network on key regulatory developments and associated risk.
You will ensure that where applicable regulatory and business change in implemented, to improve customer outcomes.
In your day-to-day role, as a External Audit Manager - Financial Services, you will:
* Lead 1st line audit including risk assessment and control design, ensuring best practise is being followed
* Be a subject matter expert to lead, consult and guide our business on emerging external and internal risks
* Understand our introducer network, to be able to undertake 1st line risk assessments and design and implement the associated assurance plans
* Ensure our introducer network adheres to contractual due diligence, with a focus around Customer outcomes, Vulnerability, Commission and Complaints Handling
* Partner with the wider First Line Risk and Control Teams across Vanquis Banking Group
* Travel to Vanquis Banking Group officers and our suppliers where applicable to ensure adherence to the assurance plans
* Provide monthly reporting on Introducer reviews and be able to identify and remediate any non-adherence
What will make you stand out?
* Exposure to the FCA regulatory requirement specific to Motor Finance lending and/or credit broking.
* Knowledge and expertise of Risk Management (including risk assurance techniques and key tools) within financial services
* Proven experience on advising Senior Stakeholders on risks of new initiatives
* Experience of outsourcing and oversight of Credit Brokers
* Understanding of the importance of keeping up to date with regulatory changes and developments and how they should be addressed and applied
The interview process:
* Up to 30minute telephone call with a member of the Talent Acquisition team
* Up to 1 hour with the hiring team via MS Teams
* Final interview with our wider Risk and Governance colleagues, up to 1 hour via MS Teams
