Integral UK Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Night Shift Engineer to join our team at our Edinburgh site. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of building systems and equipment during night hours and to monitor and respond to BMS and data centre alarms and responded to as per out clients’ global procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a lead role in MEP / Fire systems incident response, assisting the onsite security team and following our clients global procedures and escalation rules.
* To ensure that all critical site operations systems are monitored vie our Schneider Electric DCE system and any alarms are responded to utilising our clients global procedures and escalation rules .
* Monitor and maintain building management systems, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment during night shifts
* Respond promptly to emergency calls and alarms, diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently
* Perform preventative maintenance tasks and scheduled repairs during off-peak hours
* Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment to identify potential issues
* Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, incidents, and repairs
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures
* Collaborate with day shift teams to ensure seamless handover and continuity of operations
* Assist in the implementation of energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices
* Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response outside of regular shift hours
* Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance processes and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
Relevant qualification in electrical, mechanical, or building services engineering
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of building management systems, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems
Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional weekends or holidays
Valid driving license may be required
Additional Requirements:
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Physical fitness to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
* Willingness to undertake additional training and certifications as required

The successful candidate will be a key member of our facilities management team, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our building systems.
