Our client, a leading organisation in the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join their team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring strong corporate governance, board support, and compliance with company law and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and maintain corporate governance and compliance frameworks.
* Provide board-level support, including organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
* Ensure all statutory filings with Companies House and other regulators are completed accurately and on time.
* Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Advising senior management on governance best practices, company law, and regulatory updates.
* Lead / support company secretarial projects.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience in a Company Secretary / Deputy Company Secretary role.
* Strong knowledge of UK company law, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements.
* Experience working in a group legal function
PLEASE NOTE: 2 days per week are required on-site in the West Midlands.
