Our client, a leading organisation in the West Midlands, is seeking an experienced Company Secretary to join their team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring strong corporate governance, board support, and compliance with company law and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain corporate governance and compliance frameworks. Provide board-level support, including organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. Ensure all statutory filings with Companies House and other regulators are completed accurately and on time. Maintain statutory records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Advising senior management on governance best practices, company law, and regulatory updates. Lead / support company secretarial projects. Key Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a Company Secretary / Deputy Company Secretary role. Strong knowledge of UK company law, corporate governance, and regulatory requirements. Experience working in a group legal function PLEASE NOTE: 2 days per week are required on-site in the West Midlands.
