We wish to appoint a Conversion Officer, based within the Undergraduate Admissions Team. You will co-ordinate, plan and deliver a diverse range of activities to support the team in meeting its targets to encourage prospective UK and International students to choose to apply to Bath as their firm choice.
The Undergraduate Admissions Team is part of our Student Recruitment & Admissions department, which also includes student recruitment, outreach, widening access, learning partnership and postgraduate teams. You will join a large group of colleagues with diverse roles and interests, with opportunities to develop understanding and experience across the wider team.
About the role
You will support and co-ordinate activities both within Student Recruitment & Admissions and institution-wide, acting as a subject matter expert on recruitment and conversion to support faculties and departments to meet their objectives in this area. These activities include, but are not limited to, Student Ambassador communication campaigns, on-campus and online events for applicants and offer-holders and working with colleagues to increase engagement with student recruitment activities within the UK and internationally. This will involve liaising closely with other departments across the university and co-ordinating and supervising the work of Student Ambassadors to deliver conversion activities.
You will be further responsible for undertaking evaluation of their work, providing feedback to support future activity and sharing best practice.
About you
An understanding of the higher education sector is essential. Direct experience of working in a student recruitment, marketing, outreach, or admissions in a higher education setting is desirable rather than essential, however you must understand current issues in higher education and what influences the decisions of applicants and offer holders.
Given the collaborative nature of our work, excellent communication skills and experience in a customer service environment are essential. Equally important are effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a team whilst taking responsibility for your own workload. Proven experience of prioritising competing demands while working to successfully meet project deadlines is essential, and you will ideally have experience of managing and evaluating projects.
If you are interested in finding out more about the role please contact Rebecca Daly, Student Recruitment Conversion & Projects Manager however, please submit your application via the University website.
Interviews are scheduled to take place on either Monday 27 January or Wednesday 29 January.
