We are currently hiring for a L3 Network Engineer for an initial 3-6 months contract assignment based in Huntingdon. The role can be carried out on a hybrid basis of 3 days on site, 2 days remote. (The duration is very likely to extend).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting network and security infrastructure (LAN/WAN/WLAN/Firewalls/Application/VPN, Delivery Controllers etc.) with a focus on Datacentre networks.
2. Troubleshooting complex network issues, identifying network bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to ensure optimal network performance.
3. Optimizing network infrastructure to ensure maximum performance and scalability.
4. Maintain accurate network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.
5. Day-to-day patching, maintenance, and operation of the above in secure environments.
6. Continual improvement of the systems based on changing demands.
7. Liaising with various departments within the business.
8. Coordinating with 3rd party suppliers and partners to support, maintain, and implement these systems.
In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity change the general character or level of responsibility to the post.
Essential Skills:
1. Extensive experience of enterprise DC/LAN/WAN network management.
2. Extensive experience of Cisco ACI, Cisco ASA, FortiGate firewalls, and VMware NSX.
3. Extensive experience of network monitoring, troubleshooting, and management tools.

1. Articulate and a clear communicator.

3. Have the ability to converse technical terms and definitions to non-technical personnel.
4. Experience in report writing.
