This is an exciting opportunity for a Radiographer to join a progressive, friendly team. We are a combined unit providing both a Screening and Symptomatic breast service, whilst benefiting from close links to the University of Dundee Breast Research team.
We are a fully digital department and comprise of 3 Hologic imaging rooms (one of which has Contrast Enhanced Tomography), 2 Hologic mobile screening units and 2 ultrasound rooms.
This vacancy is for a Radiographer wishing to specialise in mammography. Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Radiography or equivalent and preferably have a Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (though training will be given if the selected candidate does not have this).
You must be HCPC registered and will be expected to undertake the Post Graduate qualification (unless you have obtained this previously). The course is run by the Scottish Mammography Centre in Glasgow.
Successful candidates will be supported whilst completing the post graduate qualification (if necessary) to fulfil the post.
In accordance with Agenda for Change Annex 20, skills to perform autonomously at Band 6 level must be developed within 12 to 24 months after starting employment at Band 5 level.
You will be required to work on a mobile breast screening unit and should therefore be able to travel to various locations throughout Tayside and North East Fife.
Hours of work: 37 hours per week. Job share will be considered.
