Job Title: Manual Machinist (Grinder)
Salary: up to £30,000 per annum dependent upon experience, plus a competitive salary level including a 33% uplift on your basic salary whilst working on the late shift
Location: Ramsgate, Kent
Aeropeople have partnered with a multinational organisation, a global designer and manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, who are now looking to hire a permanent Manual Machinist (Grinder) to be based at their site in Ramsgate. The successful candidate will be expected to be on site 5 days per week.

They are a global manufacturer of electronic instruments and electromechanical devices specialising in services for more than 5,000 components over a variety of aircraft systems, with capabilities covering aircraft windings, electrical power, hydraulic components, landing gear, and safety equipment.
Shift Patterns available:
1. Early: 06:00-14:15, Monday to Friday
2. Day: 08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday
3. Late: 14:15-00:30, Monday to Wednesday; 14:15-23:30, Thursday
Main Responsibilities:
1. Setting/operating manual machines
2. Repair aviation components to the highest quality, adhering to engineering drawings
3. Ensuring that the products prioritised by the business are delivered on time
4. Operating machine tools safely and productively, following company health and safety policies
5. Strong understanding of grinding components with precision tolerances, especially within micron/thou levels
6. Making sure all shop floor documentation is signed off and that all products and paperwork always correspond
7. Commitment to meet production targets without ever compromising quality

About You:
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in engineering
2. Previous experience of cylindrical, surface, internal, and planetary grinding
3. Computer literate - competent in Microsoft Office (highly desirable)
4. Level 2 or 3 Engineering Qualification
