Your Responsibilities
* Train quality auditors on quality standards, inspection techniques and requirements.
* Follow and enforce all plant safety rules and policies. Conduct Team Safety Talks/Single Points as required.
* Provide additional oversight for metal finishing on third shift.
* Review issues from previous shifts.
* Perform start up meeting to ensure everyone is present, on time, and quality support is available for all areas.
* Communicate quality issues with product through detailed pass-downs to QC Manager, QC Auditors and Area Team Leader / Supervisor.
Who we are looking for
EDUCATION:
* Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training with class A metal processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL TRAINING:
* PDCA/8D/5 why knowledge a plus.
* Metal Finish and “A” class experience a plus.
Your preferred qualifications
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematics or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
* Ability to understand the metal joining technology, customer standards related to it and review the teardown results according to them.
* Ability to understand the manufacturing tolerances permitted and ensuring products are being manufactured within those quality limits.
* Ability to understand Class A/B inspection methods such as stoning, feel checking and highlight to review the surface quality of the stampings produced.
* Extensive process knowledge of metal finishing in a metal stamping environment.
* Proven Leadership experience, team leader or higher.

Pay range: $60,000 - $80,000
