About the Role
This is a key position that supports the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will have prior experience in health and safety administration, with a focus on compliance, and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
* Health & Safety:
o Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
o Monitor and update risk assessments for regulatory compliance.
o Maintain records of workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring appropriate actions are taken.
o Organize health and safety training for staff and management.
o Support regular safety audits and inspections to ensure effective safety protocols.
o Investigate health and safety incidents, compile reports, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
o Maintain accurate documentation of health and safety activities.
o Manage PPE distribution and stock levels.
o Support safety awareness programs and initiatives.
* Compliance:
o Develop and maintain a HR management system aligned with ISO accreditation standards.
o Log paperwork for new starters and leavers.
o Assist in preparing job descriptions, posting job adverts, reviewing applications, and shortlisting candidates for interviews.
o Support development and implementation of HR policies on working conditions, performance management, and equal opportunities.
o Prepare staff handbooks and advise on pay and remuneration matters.
Requirements
* Prior experience in health and safety and compliance administration.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Keen attention to detail and willingness to learn new skills.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
