This job is very unique in that you are required to be a live-in house manager for three adults with disabilities for two years while simultaneously attending McDaniel College earning a Master's Degree in Human Services & Management.

Position Summary: To manage a traditional Group Home or apartment program serving as a home to participants with developmental and physical disabilities. This is a two-year position.
Qualifications: Must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and be eligible for enrollment in the master’s program at McDaniel College in Human Services Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. AGENCY
1. Performs essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

3. Successfully completes all required in-service trainings and completes re-certifications as required.
4. Performs duties in accordance with the philosophy, mission, and goals of the agency.

6. Takes appropriate action based on circumstances.
7. Demonstrates the ability to manage personal time by being punctual.
8. Acts as an appropriate role model and representative of Target.
9. Demonstrates a willingness to perform all essential duties and job functions with the safety of the participants and self as a top priority.
2. ADMINISTRATIVE
1. Completes probationary and annual employee evaluations.
2. Develops house or apartment schedule and reviews time sheets.
3. Assures group home staff complete required trainings.
4. Completes and supervises daily, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly paperwork.
5. Coordinates the hiring and supervision of Direct Support Professionals.
3. PARTICIPANT ISSUES
1. Develops participants PCP and ITM.
2. Supervises Direct Support Professional implementation of programs.
3. Assists the participants in receiving medical, dental, psychological, and other specific services.
4. PARTICIPANT ISSUES (DIRECT CARE)
1. Assists the participants in their daily routines of personal care and grooming.
2. Maintains physical ability to restrain participants as needed.
3. Maintains a family-type atmosphere for participants.
5. EVALUATION
1. Three Month Evaluation of performance.
2. Target I: First Year Assessment.
6. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a Class 1, salaried, 40 - 45 hours per week, exempt status position. Weekend and evening hours are required.

Apartment & Utilities: $24,000
Salary: Minimum $94,500
Tuition: $16,440.00
Scholarship: 100% of total tuition bill
