CNC Miller Setter / Operator (Fanuc) with experience of manufacturing components in Stainless Steel / Aluminium required ASAP for a Permanent role in Knutsford Area. Competitive salary (DoE) + The basic working week is 40 hours/week (Mon - Fri days 8am 4:30pm) plus possible O/T and is expected to move to a double days shift pattern (6-2 / 2-10) with 25% shift uplift payable later this year / early next year.

* Approx. 40 hrs/week Days: M-F 8am-4:30pm, Double Days Wk 1: M-F 6am-2pm & Wk 2: M-F 2-10pm.

Job Purpose: To effectively produce components to the required quality and timescale in accordance with the job specification/drawing and works order.
The successful CNC Miller Setter / Operator's day to day duties will include:
* Prioritising works orders received from the Cutting Room in accordance with Team Leader's instructions and work in progress requirements.
* Ensuring material received is to specification and referring any inaccuracies to the Team Leader.
* Identifying and loading the appropriate programme for the specific job, referring to the Pro-Engineer report. Reporting to the Team Leader if no programme exists or a program error has occurred.
* Manufacturing components to production deadlines while ensuring the CNC/manual machines are operated safely and that appropriate checks are carried out.
* Checking completed components against specifications, de-burring, engraving, and blasting as required.
* Manufacturing jigs and fixtures to aid the machining of components.
* Following the machine maintenance schedule and responding appropriately to machine alarms.
* Reporting any faults with the machine to the Team Leader.
* Carrying out weekly 5S audits on the area as requested by the Team Leader.
* Dealing professionally, competently, and courteously with customers, suppliers and colleagues in problems and offering advice with verbal and written communications.
To be suitable for this CNC Miller Setter / Operator role you must have the following experience / characteristics:
* Previous experience of setting/operating Fanuc controlled CNC milling machines.
* Previous experience of using manual milling machines.
* Ideally be a time-served or completed relevant apprenticeship as a CNC/Manual machinist.
* Formal training in CNC setting and operation.
* Highly motivated and keen to succeed.
It would be advantageous if you have the following skills / experience:
* Attended programming courses run by machine manufacturers.
* Online programming experience.
* Relevant qualifications in manual machining/CNC machining.
* Previous experience of manufacturing stainless steel/aluminium parts.
* Previous experience of using Hitachi Seiki HiCells C.N.C machines.
