We are looking to recruit a caring and motivated Health Care Assistant who is committed to patient care and willing to further develop our dedicated nursing team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the other practice nurses and HCA to treat our patients, maintain systems including infection control to meet CQC requirements and influence and implement policy and change in the Practice., As part of our nursing team you will be responsible for assisting the practice nurses with simple clinical procedures primarily involving seasonal vaccinations but may include height, weight, urinalysis, lifestyle advice, blood pressure checks, new patient checks, ECGs, removal of sutures, taking blood samples, CPR, chaperoning, assisting doctors with minor surgery and general patient assistance. You will work with other members of the team to ensure clinical areas meet a satisfactory infection control level and remain adequately stocked with consumables. Other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibility, training and scale of the post e.g. ear syringing, dressings, vaccinations, smoking cessation, anticoagulation.

This is a part-time position, 18 hours per week (can be flexible from minimum two days up to four days) and salary is competitive, depending on experience, with access to NHS pension scheme.
