People Assistant
Are you passionate about creating a seamless and welcoming experience for new employees? As a People Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring new hires feel supported, valued, and ready to thrive in their new roles. From offer acceptance to full integration, you'll be the friendly face guiding them through the onboarding journey!
What You’ll Do:
1. Welcome & Engage – Be the first point of contact for new hires, making them feel valued and excited to start their journey.
2. Onboarding Coordination – Manage and streamline the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for all new employees.
3. Key Contact – Provide ongoing support, answering questions and guiding new hires through their first weeks.
4. Admin & Compliance – Ensure all necessary forms, documents, and processes are completed for a seamless start.
5. Communication & Updates – Keep hiring managers, the People team, and other stakeholders informed with timely updates on new hires' progress.
6. Onboarding Gifts – Prepare and distribute welcome packs for all new team members before their first day.
7. Welcome Events Management – Plan and execute engaging welcome events, ensuring full attendance, catering, and smooth logistics. Promote these events on SharePoint.
8. Data & Reporting – Maintain accurate employee records, track onboarding trends, and suggest improvements.
9. System & Material Updates – Keep onboarding software, documents, and resources up to date for a top-tier experience.
10. Process Optimisation – Identify ways to improve the onboarding journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
11. Collaboration & Teamwork – Work closely with HR, hiring managers, and other teams to create a best-in-class onboarding experience.
12. Confidentiality & Compliance – Handle all data with care, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
13. Health & Safety – Uphold company safety policies, contributing to a safe and welcoming workplace.
14. Adapt & Grow – Be open to taking on additional responsibilities and supporting other HR initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
What You Bring:
* 1-2 years of experience in HR, onboarding, or an administrative role (experience with HR systems is a plus!).
* A passion for creating a positive employee experience.
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organisation.
* A problem-solving mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Experience with HR systems (e.g., SmartRecruiter) is a bonus!
