This full-time, temporary-to-permanent role presents a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact on students who benefit from a more tailored and engaging approach to learning. As an English Teacher in this provision, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and engaging English lessons, helping students develop essential literacy skills and a love for learning. You will play a key role in supporting students who may have faced challenges in mainstream education, providing them with the tools to succeed both academically and personally. This position is ideal for a passionate educator who thrives in a supportive and student-centred environment. While experience in alternative provision or working with students with additional needs is desirable, it is not essential, as professional development opportunities will be available. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the needs of students in an Alternative Provision setting. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student confidence and engagement. Develop creative and personalised learning strategies to help students progress in literacy. Work closely with colleagues and support staff to implement individual learning plans. Monitor and assess student progress, ensuring that lessons are adapted to meet individual learning needs. Support students with behaviour management and encourage positive learning attitudes. Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all students. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and an ability to differentiate lessons for diverse learners. Experience working in an Alternative Provision, PRU, or with students who require additional support is desirable but not essential. Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
