We are looking for a Business Advisory Manager to join our team in Stirling, Dundee or Forfar Job Purpose: We are looking to add to our specialist Rural / Agriculture team within accountancy in our Business Advisory Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely within the team and the firm's Client Relationship Managers, specialising in the sector to support the relevant clients in growing their business. The portfolio would consist of a mixture of clients across Rural, Food & Drink, Energy Infrastructure and Renewables and Hospitality, therefore a diverse range. As specialists in the Rural sector, acting for more than 2000 agricultural clients across the UK, we understand the opportunities and challenges our customers face and the support they need to meet their business objectives and goals. We’re here to be a part of our clients team, whether they need support with accounts or advisory services. The Business Advisory Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to): Planning and managing the timely and profitable completion of a portfolio of client work which may include yearend management accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for selected clients, liaising with Client Relationship Managers and Specialists across the business where required Review of Assistants/Seniors work, providing feedback and coaching them Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, contacts, and colleagues Engaging and consulting actively with our Specialists, coordinating their involvement in advisory work, and identifying cross-selling opportunities Dealing with ad-hoc client queries, telephone calls and meetings Portfolio management duties including client take on, fee preparation and WIP/debt management. About You: A leader of your work and your professional learning Good team player Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others ICAS, ACCA qualification or equivalent Strong IT Skills Experience using accounts and tax software packages Good working knowledge of client accounting systems such as Sage and Xero Ideally experience dealing with corporate and unincorporated accounts with agricultural sector related businesses (this is not essential but preferred) Why JC?
