ABOUT ME:
Make sure to read the full description below, and please apply immediately if you are confident you meet all the requirements.
I am a woman with profound intellectual and physical disabilities, and as I do not have mental capacity, my family have written this on my behalf.
My support is fully funded by an NHS Continuing Healthcare Personal Health Budget, which is managed by Solo Support Services.
I live in my specially adapted bungalow, next door to my mum and dad, and I am supported on a one-to-one basis 24 hours a day by a regular team of support workers.
My communication is mostly by facial expressions and body-language, although I do have a few words that I use effectively. I need full personal care, including continence support.
Because of my physical disabilities I am a wheelchair user and have a wheelchair-accessible car which my support workers drive to take me to interesting places. I love going out and about and would like to share my day with somebody who is enthusiastic, inspiring, innovative and creative, to bring a sense of energy into my life. I would like a happy, smiley person who is fun and chatty to be around, but who also knows when to be quiet and calm when needed. Companionship is a key element to this role.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
I am looking for a Team Leader, aged 25 or over, and a car driver, who has the relevant experience, knowledge and skills to ensure my package of care is managed effectively. You would work as a Team Leader for 10 hours per week, with additional hours as a Support Worker, working directly with me.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading and supporting my carers, encouraging and developing team cohesion, whilst working within the boundaries of my care package. You will be responsible for liaising and coordinating with your line manager to develop a successful working relationship and culture, where the team feel able to approach you with suggestions or concerns, in the knowledge you will respond by taking action, and finding suitable resolutions where appropriate.

I am looking for a reliable female to join my team and to support me with all my needs. Female candidates only, due to the nature of the role (Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
