Role Overview
From receipt of component kit from the stores team, the primary purpose is to load the material onto elements/feeders/trolleys in line with working practises to present the Surface Mount Operators a loaded, checked and aligned kit meaning maximum online efficiency can be achieved by the placement machines. The kitter is also required for the dekit process of stripping elements/feeders/trolleys once the kit has been run through the placement machine, including identifying material for formal dekit by the stores team.
Responsibilities
* Be able to kit and de-kit Feeders and trolleys for the SMT placements machines.
* Take a high degree of care of the components handled minimising loss of parts during handling.
* Document all work completed on the SMT process via shopfloor MES system.
* Identify SMT component types and their different package styles.
* Ensure information entered into the manufacturing system is accurate at all times.
* Escalate any work related problems to the relevant supervisor/production manager/process engineer.
* To ensure that work carried out is in accordance with the appropriate Works Instructions within the OSI quality manual and any deviations from this are communicated to the supervisor.
Qualifications
* Ability to read and interpret SMT diagrams.
* Be able to split SMT programs if required on main line.
* Understand the stock system and how it is laid out, transferring of stock with PDA.
* Maintain high housekeeping within relevant work area.
