As our Vendor Management Operations Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a Technology Vendor Management Framework and related governance processes. This is a new role in a new team where you’ll get to make it your own and seek improved ways of working between Procurement, Risk, and Technology Leads.
Here you’ll develop guidance and standards so that when business areas engage with suppliers, they can produce fit-for-purpose requirements and understand best practices.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
The role holder will act as the gatekeeper and business partner between Vendor Management and the Business Units:
* Ensure quality control across SOWs, ensuring rate cards are adhered to and the best treatment strategy has been adopted for each significant engagement.
* Review SOWs/Contracts to ensure they are fit for purpose, using the most appropriate model (e.g. Fixed Outcome, Fixed Price, Capacity based, T&M etc.) and the right resource mix based on requirements.
* Work with IT colleagues and Procurement to ensure alignment to the overall Technology Strategy.
* Be responsible for the IT Contracts Tracker, IT Contracts Renewals process, Spend Analytics (including Supplier commitment tracking), Pipeline activity, Reporting and Governance in relation to key Vendors within IT, as well as driving up and reporting on adherence to the Sustainability KPI within Technology.
* Develop an IT contracts database and pipeline process alongside Procurement which can be adopted and used by the Vendor Management team.
* Develop a renewals process that engages with all relevant stakeholders (including Vendor Management peers).
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
* Great interpersonal and organization skills.
* Senior Stakeholder engagement.
* Strong contract management experience with excellent negotiation skills.
* Professional certification such as IACCM/WCC or CIPS is desirable.
* Proficient in Excel and ideally PowerBI.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Familiar with regulatory requirements.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
