CB Group is a Cardo Group company.
LCB Group was incorporated in 2012 and is a growing business with offices across the south and south west of the UK and a head office in Cardiff. We regularly secure new contracts with new and existing clients. Most of our contracts are for 4 to 10 years so we are in a position to be able to recruit good people and offer them long-term prospects.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting:
o Balance sheet control account reconciliations
o Management of the fixed asset register
o Management of the hire purchase register
o Management of the wages and associated costs (PAYE, Pension, Attachment of Earnings) control accounts, and timely payments
o WIP journal postings
o Ensure VAT returns are fully audited, submitted and paid on time
o Maintain intercompany balances data
2. Management Accounts:
o Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
o Management of the overhead allocations
o Analysis of cost variances against budget
o Trend analysis
3. Cash Flow Management:
o Preparation of weekly cashflow reports
o Work in collaboration with the AR and AP teams
4. Project Reporting:
o Prepare project reports for month end CVR’s
o Report variances and trends (cost increases / turnover movements)
5. Office National Statistics:
o Provide data for various ONS submissions
o Ensure timely submissions
6. AR and AP Functions:
o Provide support to both AR and AP functions as necessary
Qualifications & Experiences:
1. Working towards Industry-recognised certification (ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
2. Proven experience in similar role (4 years+ experience in accounts department)
3. Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
4. Robust Microsoft Excel skills
5. Strong analytical skills
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. SAP.
8. Document scanning & invoice approval software.
9. Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
10. Work in Progress (WIP) accounting
