Event Development Officer (maternity cover): Triathlon Scotland
Triathlon Scotland is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Event Development Officer to help shape and grow the swim, bike, and run events calendar across Scotland. Events play a crucial role in increasing participation in our sport, and we are committed to creating a thriving, inclusive, and sustainable event landscape.
As the Events Development Officer, you will work closely with event organisers, clubs, and key stakeholders to support, review, and evolve the event calendar. Your focus will be on ensuring a diverse range of high-quality events that provide opportunities for participation at all levels, from grassroots to elite competition.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about event development and participation in sport. The ideal candidate will have experience in event planning, coordination, or sports development and will be confident in working with multiple stakeholders to drive positive change. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and ambitious organisation, making a real impact on the growth of triathlon and multisport events in Scotland. You’ll have the chance to shape the future of our event calendar, ensuring more people have the opportunity to take part in swim, bike, and run activities.
Location: Stirling, with travel as required
Closing date: 9am, Tuesday 1 April 2025
Interviews: Wednesday 9 April 2025 or Thursday 10 April 2025

The role involves driving a hire van, and due to the rental company’s policy, applicants must be aged 23 or over. This requirement is based on the van hire restrictions, which do not permit rentals to drivers under the age of 23. The candidate must hold a valid and full driving licence for a minimum period of one year.
