Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Strood, Kent
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000, Based on Experience + Paid Overtime

We're looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer, either electrical or mechanical biased, to join our expert team building high-end, robotic-based automation systems. Whether your background leans toward mechanical or electrical engineering, this is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects for some of the world's leading manufacturers.
From system build to on-site installation, every day brings something different - and if you're looking to grow your skills into new areas like robotics or PLC programming, we'll support you every step of the way.
What You'll Be Doing as a Multi-Skilled Engineer:
1. Assembling and installing bespoke robotic automation systems
2. Working in-house and occasionally on-site with customers across the UK (and abroad)
3. Collaborating with a team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
4. Reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams
5. Taking ownership of quality, safety, and performance during system builds
What You'll Bring:
1. Proven experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment
2. Hands-on skills in fitting, assembly, wiring, or electrical panel build
3. Ability to understand engineering drawings and follow build documentation
4. A practical, problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
5. Team player mentality and strong communication skills
6. Comfortable working on customer sites and occasionally staying away
Desirable (but not essential):
1. Experience with automation systems, conveyors, or robotics
2. Background in CNC machining or machine tool maintenance
3. Interest in developing skills in PLC or robot programming
