To help us fuel accelerated growth, we are looking for an experienced BSA/AML Analyst III. This role is based in Jacksonville, Florida and offers a flexible hybrid work environment where you will have a blend of 3 in-office days and 2 at home office days during the work week. Position Overview: This position maintains a high degree of responsibility and serves a critical role in ensuring Skrill USA, Inc. ongoing compliance. This position will be the subject matter expert in both AML and Fraud typologies and will quickly be able to identify those schemes while analyzing and articulating suspicious activity to remit a SAR filing to regulator. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Investigate complex escalations noting potentially suspicious activity that may arise from risk/compliance alerts, regulatory investigations, subpoenas/law enforcement requests, and matters otherwise escalated to the Monitoring and Investigations (M&I) Group through Compliance, Legal, Risk or other areas where account transactional activity is at issue. Investigate merchants (business related) escalations, and fraud trend escalations involving multiple customers and large subsets of data. Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) evaluations of customers related to the potential suspicious activity through the review of customer background information, using internal and external resources and review of transactions, and fund movements as necessary. Perform analysis and reviews utilizing internal and third-party research tools, (may include SQL based queries and advanced use of Microsoft Excel). Ensure compliance with regulations related to fraud and money laundering included in the US PATRIOT Act. Prepares case summaries, and other helpful documentation such as help guides, or how to documents to facilitate new investigative processes or tools. Prepares Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for investigations in both AML/Fraud investigation in accordance with FinCEN requirements. Records all narratives, risk factors, and associated supporting evidence for each investigation. Ensure all SAR reports are accurate, comprehensive, filed if necessary, and documented appropriately if not filed. Provides recommendations for risk rule implementations to management and collaborates with internal teams to support recommendations. Inform senior compliance management about issues that may involve risk rule violations or potential liability. Maintains a strong knowledge of AML/Fraud trends as well as regulatory and investigative resources. Administering anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Planning and scheduling work to meet regulatory organizational and regulatory requirements. Identifying and applying appropriate compliance monitoring procedures and tests. Maintains strong professional partnerships and fosters collaborative relationships. Assists in training and mentoring of BSA AML Level 1 & 2 analysts as needed. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. You Can: Gather information, identify linkages and trends and apply findings to assignments. Interpret and apply fraud and anti-money laundering regulations and identify and recommend compliance changes as appropriate. Work under pressure on multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Work through the investigative process using multiple systems at once. Work through and complete multiple complex investigations at the same time. Work using manual processes and can provide efficiency recommendations. Independently seek out answers to questions that arise during investigations by using available resources. Comfortably use Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Macros, and use basic formulas). Handle the beginning-to-end process for SAR Filings. Ability to concisely summarize suspicious activity and remit filing. Accept and implement feedback in a flexible environment. Provide a high level of customer service. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships at all levels of the organization. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain currency in anti-money laundering rules and regulations and compliance examination techniques and best practices. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university in a related field preferred and 3-5 years Fraud/ AML investigatory and analysis experience.
