Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Dietitian to join our friendly team to work as a valued and active member of the Community Dietitians team based at St Richards Hospital, Chichester.
This is a permanent post and the applicant must be self-motivated, well-organised and a confident communicator.
Main Duties of the Job
This post will provide dietetic advice to patients at home and in community hospital settings. They will also have a role in providing diabetes education sessions alongside other dietetic and MDT staff.
Regular travel between sites is required; a car driver and access to a car for work is essential.

To work as part of the Community Dietitians team in providing a quality dietetic service to patients at home, in-patients and out-patient settings and provide regular group education sessions – to patients or other staffing groups.

Person Specification
Experience/Qualifications
* Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
* Current registration with Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Skills
* Clinical placement completed as part of degree or equivalent
* Good and up to date clinical dietetic skills and knowledge
* Good written, verbal communication and presentation skills with people from a wide variety of backgrounds
* Experience of working as a dietitian in the NHS
People Management and Development
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Ability to establish and maintain communication on complex information
Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
* Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
* Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role).
