Let's Take it On We’re looking for a motivated leader to deliver an innovative, market leading fleet management service to Next Distribution. You will consider H&S, products, service and cost. We’re looking for someone to assist in the procurement of fleet and associated services for Next on a national basis, considering whole life cost and to manage the supplier base to meet and exceed agreed service levels. Leading a small group of Fleet Team Managers, you and your team will be responsible for the rigorous monitoring of all transport sites; you will improve legal compliance, maintaining policy and procedure documentation to ensure best practice is followed at all times. You will manage the maintenance planner and defect register to a 100% compliance target, meeting regularly with all local maintenance and service providers to ensure service delivery metrics are met and that the target of 5% VOR is not exceeded. The Operational Fleet Manager will provide fleet support to all Transport operations including online and 2 person delivery in respect of service, maintenance, repairs and processes ensuring all activities are conducted in the most cost-effective way. You will also manage fleet numbers against budget, ensuring movement of assets and appropriate hired fleet in order to meet peak operational demands. About you We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager with a National CPC for Transport Managers and sound knowledge of Road Transport regulations. Experience of budgeting within a similar role would be a distinct advantage. Experience of managing a team to deliver operational objectives is key, along with the ability to build strong working relationships within Next and our fleet suppliers and service providers to ensure all operational and legal compliance targets are met.
