New Directions Education are recruiting for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher who can cover up to GCSE level in Swansea.
The successful candidate should be able to provide a creative and exciting learning environment whereby pupils are encouraged to show ambition, to maximise their potential, and to embrace all aspects of school life to develop a wide-ranging skill set.
Newly Qualified Teachers are also encouraged to apply for this role, however you must hold QTS. Job Requirements include:
1. A passion for raising student expectations and achievements
2. The ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils
3. The ability to remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role
4. Eligible to work in the UK
5. In possession of a clear DBS with the update service and registered with the EWC
As a Maths Teacher you’ll be expected to:
6. Teach all areas of your subject specialism
7. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
8. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
9. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
10. Maintain discipline
11. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
12. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
13. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
14. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
