We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Support Worker to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Wealstun on a Bank basis. HMP Wealstun is a Category C men's prison with an operational capacity of around 1000. The prison has good transport links, as well as a free onsite car park.

Hours: This is a bank position, and we offer healthcare 7 days per week, so shifts will fall between Monday - Sunday, requiring a flexible approach.
Salary: This position is offered on a bank basis, and you will receive £14.28 per hour.

Main Duties of the Job
As our new Bank Pharmacy Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:
* Support the onsite Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
* Second check medication before dispensing to patients on medication rounds
* Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines, and transportation of medicines
* Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures
* Work in the medication hatches on the wings
* Be a key member of a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals

Person Specification
Our new Bank Pharmacy Support Worker will have:
* No experience is necessary - we are looking for someone with a keen interest in Pharmacy and a desire to pursue a career in Pharmacy and Healthcare
* An NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Dispensing would be a bonus, but isn't essential
* Ideally have medicines handling experience, although this isn't essential
* Be a hard worker, diligent, with a high attention to detail
