Job Title: Production Team Leader Location: Hertfordshire This well-established manufacturer based in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join the company on a permanent, full-time basis. Working Monday to Friday the hours of work are 8.00am to 5.00pm with an early finish on Friday’s. Job Summary: The role of the Production Team Leader is to oversee a production team of operators, ensuring the efficient and effective operation of all manufacturing processes. The Production Team Leader will be responsible for managing daily production activities, leading and developing team members, and ensuring that production targets are met in line with customer orders and distribution schedules. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the production operators to meet production/manufacturing goals and quality standards. Monitor production processes and workflows to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks. Train, mentor, and develop production team members to enhance their skills and performance. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company manufacturing policies. Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth production operations. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Maintain accurate production records and reports using Word, Excel and internal MRP systems. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency. Qualifications: 2-3 years of proven experience as a Production Team Leader or in a similar supervisory role within a manufacturing environment. Strong leadership and team management skills, able to train and develop others Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good understanding of production processes and quality control principles. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
