Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you would offer specialist clinical interventions to young people who use our services. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and passionate Substance Misuse Nurse to help shape our vision in how we provide clinical services to individuals whose lives have been affected by drugs and alcohol. The role will have a varied and challenging workload and you will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you’ll be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key. Where: Worksop (Nottinghamshire) Hours: Full time, 37.5 per week Full Time Salary Range: £36,635.38 - £42,743.46 Dependent on experience (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time hours) The focus of this role is to provide a clinical response to people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Each person will be co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services as appropriate. You will play a key role in assessing the nursing needs of a person, considering their medical, social, cultural and family circumstances About you: First level registered nurse with recent relevant post qualification experience and a current PIN Experience of working with people Knowledge of working with evidence based practice around young people’s substance misuse treatment services and methods, including relevant best practice guidance Sound and demonstrable knowledge of harm reduction and health promotion interventions Ability to assess and recovery plan service users and formulate written reports, as necessary Clinical auditing skills to inform evaluation of the service and identify areas for development Employ a professional, empathetic, and non-judgmental attitude An understanding of the importance of professional integrity in relationships with service users, peers, and other relevant professionals We want to support you to recognise and achieve your goals: We hold regular national nurse and HCA forums, and you will have regular 1:1s and appraisals We actively support our nurses with revalidation with protected continuing professional development time, which totals up to 6 days per year.
