The successful candidate will work with an interdisciplinary team to develop geospatial tools, interactive web maps, and advanced data analytics. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and requires proficiency in Esri Enterprise solutions. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and translate requirements into effective geospatial tools and interactive maps. Develop roadmaps for advanced data analytics and continually assess geospatial methods to ensure cutting-edge solutions. Work closely with research software engineers to build the underlying software, data, analytics, and web infrastructure. Publish documentation of developed software and its applications in peer-reviewed journals. Essential qualifications: PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Geographic Information Science, Spatial Data Analysis, Digital Mapping) Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro and other desktop GIS software Experience with ESRI Enterprise solutions and/or ArcGIS Online Strong scripting skills in Python, using libraries such as ArcPy, Pandas, NumPy, or TensorFlow.
