Are you someone who has a passion for working with pupils with special educational needs? If so, Bowsland Green Primary School is looking to employ a SEND teaching assistant to join the Bowsland Green Inclusion Team. Under the direction of the SENCo, you will be part of a dynamic team assisting in meeting the needs of pupils under the SEND register in our KS1 provision. This will involve working with a pupils’ with Educational, Health and Care Plans and individuals with communication and interaction needs. We are looking to secure a candidate with experience of supporting pupils with cognitive and developmental difficulties, and candidates with experience providing pupils with high-quality, personalised learning. It will require close liaison with parents, school staff, educational and health colleagues and the local community with the sole aim for each student to thrive and achieve the best possible outcomes to equip them for a successful, fulfilling future. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare, and positive behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period. The successful candidates will: ✅ Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and possess a positive 'can-do' attitude. ✅ Demonstrate strong teamwork skills while also capable of using initiative. ✅ Have excellent communication skills. ✅ Maintain warmth, care, and full commitment to children's safety and wellbeing. ✅ Consistently maintain a calm approach in interactions with children. ✅ Support the school's approach to outdoor play, embracing our 'whatever the weather' ethos. ✅ Act as a vital link between children, lunchbreak staff, and other school staff. ✅ Be willing to fully participate in training and professional development. ✅ Adhere strictly to standards of confidentiality.
