Commercial and Bid Manager - Framework & RFP

Salary: £Negotiable base (depending on experience) + performance bonus (a % of annual turnover won through bids)

Job Description:
As a Commercial Bid Manager, you will be responsible for leading the entire bid process, ensuring that all timelines are met and that the bid submitted is as complete and accurate as possible. You will work closely with various internal resources to ensure that the bid reflects the company's services and abilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Search: Identify and prioritize RFPs for consideration.
2. End-to-End Bid Management: Oversee the entire bid process from qualification to submission.
3. Networking: Attend events to network and reach new customers.
4. Bid Strategy Development: Develop winning strategies for each bid.
5. Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary information for the bid.
6. Documentation: Prepare high-quality bid documentation, ensuring clarity and compelling content.
7. Compliance: Ensure bids comply with company policies and client requirements.
8. Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks in the bid process.
9. Client Interaction: Engage with clients to tailor bids to their needs.
10. Feedback and Improvement: Analyze feedback on submitted bids to improve processes.
11. Other: Lead and participate in other disciplines as required.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience in bid management with a successful track record.
2. Skills: Strong project management, excellent communication, and ability to work under pressure.
3. Attention to Detail: High levels of accuracy in documentation.
4. Commercial Awareness: Understanding of commercial principles and pricing strategies.
5. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
6. Self-Starter: Strong personal drive and ability to meet short timelines.
7. Negotiation Skills: Understanding of negotiating strategies.
8. Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to convey findings to stakeholders effectively.
9. Education: A degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
10. Other: Transport and aviation sector experience an advantage.
