As Health and Wellbeing manager, you will be responsible for driving forward the physical activity agenda outlined within the Active Communities outreach contract for Buckinghamshire Council.
You will ensure the contract is proactively leading the way and our activities and initiatives are integral to the healthy lifestyle offering across the borough.
Your main responsibilities:
* Ensure that the targets within the Active Communities Plan reflect the requirements laid out in the bid documentation, contract documentation and the Local Authority / Council Health and Wellbeing targets.
* Understand the demographics and specific needs of the community and ensure that community wellbeing activities are effectively promoted and well attended by target populations.
* Positively engage with appropriate stakeholders and partner organisations to secure their commitment and collaboration.
* Engage with Buckinghamshire Council regarding health and wellbeing. Liaise with, and attend meetings of, the Buckinghamshire Health and Wellbeing Board.
* Encompass social wellbeing into the wellbeing programme – utilising space within the leisure facilities for non-traditional uses.
* Regularly gather monitoring data, customer insight, achievements and learnings relating to external funding projects as appropriate.
* Work effectively with other managers and colleagues to ensure coordination, integration and synergy between community and wellbeing work strands and ‘standard’ programmes.
* Produce reports for Serco Leisure Senior Management Team, the Local Authority, More Leisure Community Trust and external funders as required.
What you’ll need to do the role:
* Hold a degree, relevant leisure management or health qualification with experience in this field.
* Experience of project management; developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating delivery plans and budgets for programmes.
* Proven experience of developing meaningful working relationships at all levels with internal and external stakeholders, clients, and customers.
* Significant and appropriate experience in developing Community and Wellbeing initiatives in leisure and other public settings.
* Good working knowledge of IT and Microsoft packages.
* Experience of working in a role covering a large geography.
* Hold a UK Driving License and be prepared to travel.
