Job Overview:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to individuals in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, residential facilities, and community-based environments. This role is ideal for experienced, compassionate professionals committed to enhancing the well-being of adults and older adults with complex health needs. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will help to create a safe, supportive environment that upholds the dignity, safety, and quality of life for every patient under your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Quality Nursing Care: Provide professional, compassionate nursing care tailored to each patient’s unique physical and emotional needs.
* Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely and accurately administer medications, treatments, and medical interventions, monitoring patient responses.
* Health Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct comprehensive health assessments, regularly monitor vital signs, and recognize signs of clinical deterioration.
* Care Planning: Develop and implement personalized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams to address individual health goals.
* Build Therapeutic Relationships: Establish trust with patients to create a positive, supportive atmosphere where patients feel safe and valued.
* Provide Emotional Support: Offer emotional support to patients and families, managing stress and distress effectively and empathetically.
* Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of patient assessments, care plans, treatments, and progress, following regulatory and internal standards.
* Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.
* Compliance with Standards: Ensure all practices align with organizational guidelines, legal requirements, and infection control and health and safety protocols.
Compliance Requirements:
* NMC Registration: Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
* Enhanced DBS Check: An enhanced DBS check is required, confirming eligibility to work with vulnerable individuals.
* Right to Work in the UK: Provide valid documentation verifying your right to work.
* Mandatory Training: Completion of required training, including health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control.
* Basic Life Support Certification: Certification in Basic Life Support or willingness to complete training.
* Clinical Experience: Demonstrated experience in adult or elderly care settings, including acute and long-term care.
* Manual Handling Training: Certification in manual handling to safely assist with patient mobility.
* References: Provide two professional references, including one recent employer.

* References covering five years, including two professional and one-character reference.
