We are currently hiring for a Year 1/2 Primary Teacher role on a full-time basis. This is for a role working in a primary school in Barnsley, on an ongoing basis starting after the Easter holidays.
This is an exciting chance for a motivated Primary Teacher to make a real impact. As a Year 1/2 teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire students and ensure they are well-prepared for their progression into KS2. You will play a key role in helping the pupils at the school grow academically, providing a nurturing environment where every child will flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all the pupils in Year 1 & 2.
2. Create and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
3. Establish relationships with pupils, encouraging their confidence, independence, and social development.
4. Work closely with colleagues from across KS1 and SLT.
5. Support SEN pupils to ensure they thrive alongside their peers.
6. Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures.
About You:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in KS1.
2. A deep understanding of the KS1 curriculum.
3. A passion for teaching, with the ability to engage and inspire children.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
5. Flexibility and a positive attitude towards team collaboration.
6. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage time effectively.
7. Ability to identify gaps in pupil learning and use your skills effectively to manage and narrow this.
8. An ability to use a variety of assessment methods to track and support pupil progress.
