To provide high quality images in accordance with Radiation Regulations and departmental protocols and procedures.
To provide comprehensive and effective day to day services within the Radiology Directorate.
To ensure that the daily workload is completed in an efficient manner and that all patients are well cared for.
To supervise work of other qualified staff, assistants and students.
Main duties of the job
The main department at UHW provides a general radiography service to A+E, the Children's Hospital for Wales, outpatient, inpatient and GP patients with rotations into fluoroscopy, theatre and mobile imaging.
UHW is a vibrant and friendly department employing over 130 radiographers across all modalities. UHW offers excellent training and development opportunities for band 5 radiographers and has a wide range of modalities on site MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Cardiology and Interventional Radiology.
Applications are invited from 2025 Diagnostic Radiography graduates.
