We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join our teaching team for schools in and around the Wolverhampton area.
About the role
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Information and Communication Technology and a commitment to engaging students in practical, hands-on learning experiences. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering digital literacy, and preparing students for the technological demands of the future. We can offer full or part-time positions to the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging computer science lessons to students at various educational levels.
2. Develop and implement a curriculum that covers a range of ICT topics, including computer science, programming, digital literacy, and cybersecurity.
3. Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
4. Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
5. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in ICT education and integrate them into the curriculum.
6. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
2. Teaching certification/license in Computer Science or a relevant subject area.
3. Proven experience teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level.
4. Strong knowledge of computer systems, programming languages, and educational technologies.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
7. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current in the field of Computer Science education.
