Events Co-Ordinator
Role: Events Co-Ordinator
Location: Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee, DD2 5LP, Nr Birkhill (What3Words: exams.firework.tadpole)
We are seeking a dynamic and organised Events Coordinator to join our events team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events, from corporate meetings to large-scale conferences and weddings. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented multitasker with excellent communication skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences. What you’ll be doing
You will be maximising our opportunities for running events at our park, from corporate events and stays to wedding celebrations and family parties. This includes:
* Plan and organise events from start to finish according to requirements set at point of sale by the Events Sales Lead.
* Coordinate all event logistics, including venue setup, catering requirements, vendor requirements, and accommodation.
* Ensure adherence to events budget as set by the Events Sales Lead at point of sale.
* Create and manage event timelines and schedules.
* Liaise with vendors, exhibitors, and departmental heads during the event planning process.
* Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown activities.
* Handle event-related inquiries and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
* Collaborate with our marketing teams to promote and publicise events.
* Monitor and analyse event performance and gather feedback for future improvements.
* Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of event details and communications, keeping CRM systems up to date at all times.
* Ensure compliance with insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations.
* Provide excellent customer service and support to attendees and participants.
One more thing…many of our events happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

* A good level of general education and comfortable with IT, including MS Office.
* Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Evidence of team management skills and an ability to motivate and influence people at all levels.
* A creative, forward-thinking mindset.
It’s the icing on the cake, but not essential, if you have an NVQ or higher in Events Management, events sales experience, local knowledge and an existing network, and a wide-ranging knowledge of the events industry.
